Live concert featuring pieces for violin and harpsichord by composers including Heinrich Biber, J.S. Bach and Johann Heinrich Schmelzer. Musicians will be using historically accurate instruments and performance techniques. Program will focus on works which incorporate choral hymn tunes, highlighting the virtuosity and ingenuity of these composers as they “riff” on the well-known melodies of their time.
